Terms & conditions
Using Hirus, sharing your work and approving introductions.
These terms govern access to and use of Hirus, operated by Agentbird Inc., United States ("Hirus", "we", "us"). They apply to candidates and authorised company users, subject to any separate written agreement that expressly governs a particular service.
Questions about these terms can be sent to founders@hirus.ai.
1. The service
Hirus helps candidates describe their work, take part in human review and consider introductions to hiring teams. A candidate decides whether to approve the specific information proposed for disclosure to a named company.
Hirus is not your employer and does not make employment decisions for a hiring company. Creating an account, completing a profile, passing through review or approving an introduction does not guarantee a vacancy, interview, offer, placement, salary or start date.
Our review reflects the information and methods available at the time. It is not a comprehensive background check, professional accreditation or guarantee of a person's qualifications, conduct or suitability. Candidates and companies remain responsible for their own decisions and any appropriate checks.
Public company registration is currently closed. Companies can contact us to discuss hiring; an enquiry does not itself create an engagement or grant access to candidate information.
2. Accounts and authority
You must be legally able to enter into these terms. If you act for a company, you must have authority to do so and to provide its information.
Use an email address you control and provide accurate account details. Keep sign-in links and other credentials private. Do not share an account or allow someone to act under your identity without authorisation. Tell us promptly if you suspect unauthorised access.
You are responsible for activity you authorise through your account. This does not make you responsible for activity caused by our failure to meet obligations that apply to us.
3. Your information and materials
Provide information that is accurate to the best of your knowledge. Describe your personal contribution separately from team results and correct material inaccuracies when you become aware of them.
Only submit materials you have the right to share. Do not include a former employer's confidential documents, another person's private information without authority, or material that infringes intellectual property rights. You can describe confidential work at an appropriate level without uploading the underlying documents.
You retain ownership of your materials. You give Agentbird Inc. permission to store, reproduce and process them only as reasonably necessary to operate Hirus, review your submission and prepare and deliver introductions you approve, subject to the Privacy Policy and applicable law. This permission does not authorise unrestricted public publication of your profile.
4. Review and introduction approval
We may ask for clarification or supporting context and may be unable to proceed where information is incomplete, inaccurate or insufficient for the proposed introduction. You can respond to clarification requests and request corrections.
Submitting a profile for review does not authorise company disclosure. Approval applies to the stated company and the specific version of the proposed introduction, including a résumé if it is included. A replacement disclosure requires separate approval.
You may decline an introduction. After approval, you may revoke future company access through Hirus. Revocation does not recall information already viewed, downloaded or otherwise received. Editing your profile does not automatically update an earlier approved disclosure.
5. Company use of candidate information
If you receive an introduction through Hirus, use the candidate information only to evaluate and pursue the relevant hiring opportunity. Limit access to people who need it for that purpose and are authorised to receive it.
Do not sell candidate information, publish it, add it to a public directory, use it for unrelated marketing or disclose it for an unrelated purpose without a separate lawful basis and any required permission. Do not use Hirus to scrape profiles, discriminate unlawfully or bypass a candidate's sharing decision.
You are responsible for the security and lawful handling of copies held in your own systems, including applicable access, correction and deletion requests. A company membership does not grant access to unapproved candidate profiles.
Any separate hiring agreement may impose additional confidentiality, retention and recruiting obligations.
6. Acceptable use
Do not use Hirus to impersonate someone, falsify qualifications, submit unlawful material or harass another person. Do not introduce malicious code, interfere with the service, evade access restrictions or access another person's records without authorisation.
Do not extract candidate data through automated collection or use the service to build a competing database of personal information. Report suspected security issues to founders@hirus.ai without accessing or disclosing other users' data.
7. Fees and separate agreements
These terms do not by themselves authorise us to charge you. Any paid recruiting service, placement fee or other commercial arrangement must be disclosed and agreed separately before it applies.
A hiring enquiry, candidate introduction or account registration does not create an undisclosed payment obligation. Where a separate agreement applies, it governs the pricing and payment terms of that service.
8. Privacy and communications
Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal information, including service providers, analytics, session replay and data controls. Acceptance of these terms is not approval to share a recruiting profile with a company and is not blanket consent to every form of personal-information processing.
We may send authentication messages and communications reasonably necessary to provide or protect your account and the services you request. Any marketing communications must follow the consent and opt-out requirements that apply.
9. Third-party services and hiring decisions
Hirus may link to company websites, portfolios, scheduling tools and other external services. Their operators control those services and their terms and privacy practices. A link is not an endorsement or a guarantee that information is accurate.
Employment terms, compensation, work eligibility, interview arrangements and any resulting employment or contracting relationship are matters for the candidate and the hiring company to agree. Each party is responsible for checking the terms it accepts.
10. Availability and changes
We may maintain, update or change Hirus as the service develops. Features can be interrupted by maintenance, errors or events outside our reasonable control. We do not promise uninterrupted availability or a particular recruiting outcome.
Where a change materially reduces a service we have agreed to provide, we will give reasonable notice where practicable and respect any rights under a separate agreement or applicable law.
11. Suspension and leaving Hirus
We may restrict or suspend access where reasonably necessary to address a serious breach of these terms, suspected fraud, a security risk or a legal obligation. Where appropriate and lawful, we will explain the reason and provide a way to contact us about the decision. Urgent protective action may happen before notice.
You can stop using Hirus, revoke sharing and erase recruiting content through your workspace. Recruiting-data erasure keeps your account and company memberships. To request account closure, email us. We may need to verify your identity and resolve company ownership or record-retention obligations before completing the request.
Ending access does not automatically erase all records or retrieve information already received by others. Our Privacy Policy explains the limits of deletion and retention.
12. Your legal rights and our responsibility
Nothing in these terms excludes or restricts a right, guarantee, remedy or liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or restricted. This includes applicable consumer rights. Statements about recruiting outcomes and service availability do not override those rights.
Each party remains responsible for its acts and omissions under applicable law. These terms do not impose a blanket waiver of claims, an automatic indemnity in our favour or a requirement to give up access to a court or regulator.
13. Questions and disputes
Contact founders@hirus.ai with a description of the issue and the outcome you seek. We will consider the concern and try to resolve it directly. This does not prevent you from seeking urgent relief or exercising statutory complaint or dispute-resolution rights.
No provision in these terms limits a mandatory protection, regulator complaint right or court jurisdiction available to you under applicable law.
14. Changes to these terms
Revised terms will carry an updated revision date. We will give reasonable notice of material changes where required and obtain acceptance where necessary. Changes will not retrospectively create fees or override an introduction's existing sharing decision.
If you do not agree to a material change, you may stop using Hirus and request account closure, subject to any continuing obligations under applicable law or a separate agreement.
