Merchants can launch a new store or migrate an existing one, then manage their storefront, products, inventory, orders, customers, payments, marketing, and analytics from one place. Instead of stitching together dozens of apps, agencies, and developers, merchants tell Amboras what they want. Its AI builds, operates, and continuously improves the store.

Amboras was founded by two brothers who previously built an e-commerce brand to six-figure monthly revenue and experienced these problems firsthand. We’re a small, ambitious team backed by Y Combinator and A*, building toward a future where anyone can run a world-class online business without needing a world-class technical team.

Amboras is an AI-native commerce platform that bundles every merchant tool into one interface driven by an AI agent. We are building a direct alternative to Shopify with a real product and 30k users already on board.

This is a Founding AI Engineer role with $200k–$400k comp and 0.2%–0.8% equity. You will own the entire AI stack in a high-ownership, in-office environment in San Francisco.

Technology at Amboras is fast-moving, experimental and deeply AI-native. We actively adopt emerging tools, rethink established workflows and give engineers the freedom to introduce better ways of building. You’ll have broad ownership, tackle genuinely difficult problems and help shape both the product and how the company operates. It’s an environment for curious engineers who want to learn quickly, move early and have an outsized impact.
