Black Ore is building the leading AI platform designed to accelerate financial services. The company's flagship offering, Tax Autopilot, leverages proprietary AI agents to automate tax preparation and compliance, helping CPA & tax firms overcome the talent shortage and accelerate growth for their practice.

Founded in 2022, we launched with $60 million in early stage funding from some of the world’s leading investors including a16z, Founders Fund, General Catalyst, Khosla Ventures, Oak HC/FT, Trust Ventures and leading tech founders/angel investors including Jason Gardner (Founder and CEO of Marqeta), Max Levchin (Founder of Paypal and Affirm), Tom Glocer (Former CEO of Thomson Reuters), Gokul Rajaram, and Mark Britto (EVP, CPO, PayPal).

• Run targeted outbound into CPA firms — cold email, calls, LinkedIn, and whatever creative angle gets a reply. Your buyers are Tax Partners and Tax Managers at firms running CCH Axcess or ProSystem fx and preparing 1,000–50,000 1040s a year. You own the territory, not a queue.
• Use AI as a daily force multiplier. Research, list-building, personalization, sequencing, workflow automation — AI is in your workflow today, not something you "should look into." You'll run a modern stack: Apollo, Clay, Salesforce, Attention.
• Build your own systems where the existing playbook doesn't cover the gap. Nobody hands you a tool for everything. Good — you'll build it.
• Own your pipeline numbers and report on the funnel with rigor. You think in conversion rates, not activity counts.
• Hand qualified meetings to AEs clean. The handoff is part of the craft, not an afterthought.

• Coachable. You can accurately diagnose your own performance, absorb specific feedback, and apply it on the spot — not just nod at it.
• Curious. You research before you talk. You ask more than you pitch. You'll show up already knowing what Tax Autopilot does and who buys it.
• A track record of being top-10% at something. Quota, class rank, athletics, fastest-promoted — the domain matters less than the evidence. Be ready to get specific about how it was measured.
• Fast learner. Tax workflow is a real domain. You'll need to absorb how CCH Axcess fits into a firm's 1040 process quickly and speak credibly to people who live in it.
• High output. Sustained effort, high output density, fast follow-up. We notice hustle during the interview process itself.
