Staff Software Engineer

Set the technical bar for Handle's agent platform. You'll lead architecture across the most critical systems, drive cross-team initiatives, and shape how we build as the company scales.

• Lead architecture and design for Handle's most critical platform systems
• Drive multi-quarter technical initiatives that span teams and product surfaces
• Set standards for code quality, testing, observability, and operational excellence
• Mentor senior engineers and partner with leadership on technical strategy
• Go deep when needed — debug the hardest production issues and ship foundational infrastructure

• 10+ years of professional software engineering experience
• Track record of leading design and delivery of large-scale production systems
• Deep expertise in TypeScript, Python, or comparable modern stacks
• Strong systems thinking — distributed systems, data modeling, reliability, and performance
• Proven ability to influence and raise the bar across an engineering organization
