About The Prompting Company
We help products get discovered and used by AI agents. You optimized for users experience. Now optimize for Agent Experience.
About the role
The Prompting Company is hiring its first Account Executive to help take us from founder-led sales to a repeatable, scalable sales motion.
This is a true founding role. You will own outbound, generate your own pipeline, run deals end-to-end, and work directly with the founder to define our ICP, messaging, and sales process from scratch. There is no SDR team, no inbound safety net, and no playbook handed to you — you’ll help write it.
We’re building tools and systems that help companies get real, durable value from AI. Our customers are thoughtful, technical, and allergic to fluff. Your job is to reach the right people, start high-quality conversations, and close them.
If you enjoy blank pages, high ownership, and being accountable for revenue, this role will feel energizing rather than stressful.
Technology
Hard engineering problems we work on: Crawl, transform, and serve structured content that LLMs and agents can understand, retrieve, and use.
Run large-scale prompt experiments and agent workflow evaluations to understand how AI systems discover products, compare options, and complete tasks.
Build infrastructure to simulate, trace, and debug agent behavior across docs, websites, APIs, SDKs, and product workflows.
Track token-level cost, caching, deduplication, and latency for high-volume AI and agent traffic.
Build analytics for Share of Voice, competitive visibility, workflow success rates, and agent failure points across models.
Our stack:
Frontend: TypeScript, Next.js.
Backend: Go.
Data: Postgres and pgvector, Tinybird for analytics.
Infra: Kubernetes, Cloudflare Workers, CDN-first edge routing.
Interview Process
- Intro call with the founder (background, motivation, fit)
- Deep dive on outbound: past experience, messaging, and pipeline generation
- Practical exercise (write a short outbound sequence for a target customer)
- Final conversation focused on ownership, expectations, and long-term growth
Source: Y Combinator. Confirm availability with the employer.
